since we are talking about books what is true blood about ?

The other book Stephenie Meyer has written is the host. But reguarding True Blood.

True Blood is like twilight in a way. Edward can't read Bella's mind. And Sookie (true blood) can't read Bill's (vampire in true blood) mind.

Other than that, I don't think they're similar. Because:

One, True Blood, I think, is more mature. It includes alot of sexuality and it's more "gory".

Two, The vampires are like traditional vampires. They drink blood, they sleep in the daytime, and they burn in sunlight.

The host is quite good. Stephenie Meyer is planning on writing a sequel and other projects as well.

The only other book that I know by Stephenie Meyer is The Host. It too is somewhat a love story, about a race of 'aliens' or 'parasites' that need a host body to live. They have taken over earth, but Wanderer, the main character and 'alien' falls in love with a human. It is all about her gaining their trust and helping them restore the human race. I really enjoyed it.
